Description Incense Cedar (Libocedrus Decurrens) 10 seeds (#378)
Incense Cedar (Libocedrus decurrens) is an attractive evergreen conifer native to western North America. It is valued for its narrow upright form and fine scale-like foliage that gives the tree a graceful and structured appearance. It is often used in landscapes as a vertical accent.
PLANT APPEARANCE
The tree usually grows 10–20 meters tall, but is often smaller in garden settings. The crown is narrow and columnar. Branches grow in layered patterns along the central trunk. The foliage is scale-like and light green. The bark is reddish brown and becomes ridged with age.
GROWING CONDITIONS
Location: Prefers full sun or light partial shade.
Soil: Thrives in well-drained, moderately fertile soil. Avoid waterlogged locations.
Moisture: Water during prolonged drought but otherwise requires minimal additional moisture.
CARE
Mulch young plants to protect moisture and root health. Water during extended dry periods. Pruning is rarely needed as the crown forms naturally.
